Forums - Gaming - EA: Sony Executing Exceptionally Well, Microsoft Running into Challenges

You know what. EA may have scummy business practices, but they still own a lot of IP's I love and still make a lot of games I enjoy, even if they are shifting to mobile more than ever.

Seeing their new relationship with Microsoft kind of bummed me out a bit, because although it wasn't affecting any IP's I care about right now, I figured it had the potential to in the future.

So hearing this is reassuring; even though I'm sure there's little chance of EA abandoning Sony home consoles any time soon.

EA won't abandon Sony, as long as there is money to be made. It also helps that the two consoles are way more similar compared to last gen.

N64 launched: Pilot Wings and Super Mario 64

SNES launch: Super Mario World, F Zero, Pilot Wings, Gradius III, SimCity

PS1 launched: Air Combat, Aquanauts Holiday, Battle Arena Toshinden, Jumping Flash, NBA Jam Tournament, Rayman, Ridge Racer, Street Fighter The Movie, Total Eclipse Turbo, Zero Divide

Xbox One: Assasin Creed Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call Of Duty Ghost, Killer Instinct, Ryse: Son Of Rome, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, Fifa 14, Fighter Within, Forza Motorsport 5, Just Dance 2014, Lego Marvel Super Heros,  Lococycle, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14, NBA 2k14, Need For Speed Rivals, Power Star Golf, Zoo Tycoon, Skylanders Swap Force, Zumba World Fitness

Look at how skewed that is. Can't believe you expect anyone to take it serious.

LOL, we live in an age where you can find out anything in a mattter of seconds. Feel free to prove other wise.

It's 100% skewed. Anyone within reason can see that. You don't operate along those lines, though, so I should have known better. Besides, you used Wiki for that, which can be altered by any and everyone.

You are claiming skewed but dont have anything that shows its skewed. Its not hard to google launch titles for each system. What are you waiting for?

Read the edit, but I'm not expecting progress.

You made a claim and had no idea what you were talking about and this is your only response?

/facepalm

I still don't think the PS4 lineup is great, at Gamestop the only games promoted are Knack and Killzone. I am moderately excited for Killzone but Knack? It's basically shovelware, a new Kameo.

I mean, that's two retail games only. Downloadable titles don't really count since MS's got plenty too.

Take out all the cross-gen/multiplats and that's what you're left with. These aren't even in the same stratosphere as with a game like Super Mario 64.

PS4 and Xbox One launch games are not good. They are just alright. It's slightly better than PS3 and 360, which had a nearly broken game called Sonic the Hedgehog. This is what many of us should come to expect by now. Developers are obviously not ready. Launch games are almost never indicative of the final library of games.

Nope, don't take out anything to make your point relevant. I am a Xbox fanboy but I will also give Sony credit for also having one of the best launch lineups we have ever had. As for Super Mario 64 that's a total lol but looking at your anime girls I can see why.

Well, what he actually said is much more balanced than the title makes it out to be, as others having pointed out.

I do think though that EA's 'special relationship' with Microsoft is already over though. It was forged in a time when EA thought the Xone was going to dominate the US and strike a huge blow against the used game market. I think they are desperately backpeddling right now. Not jumping ship or anything, but trying to seem like a neutral company again.

That makes things easier.

Also, Nami is too good for you. :P

Microsoft's launch lineup is the best ever for any system and next year its going to take things to a new level.

I can't agree with this when the N64, PS1, and SNES all had better launch line-ups, particluarly when judging variety.

I disagree. N64 launched with 5 games in my country. Albeit one of the greatest games ever. PS1 was not great, and released with 6 games, Ridge Racer being the best.

Snes was the only console with a chance. It released with Only 5, but 3 of those were Super Mario World, F - Zero and Pilotwings.
