Forums - Nintendo - I wish Nintendo didn't own the rights to the Pokemon IP

I think in some ways you are right. They could expand Pokemon into new areas (like a darker MMO), but without losing the standard games. There could be room for multiple adaptations, much like they do with superheroes like Batman.

Um. You do realize the plot of the latest game was to literally KILL EVERYONE right?

You know ala Ragnarok?

Norse Mythology ring a bell?

Also pretty much saying that humanity is a virus that defiles everything and will eventually overpopulate and overuse the environment.  The only way to save pokemon from being tools of tainted people is to KILL THEM ALL AND THE HUMANS THAT MISUSE THEM but only letting the "beautiful" humans survive.

There's also this to think about:

Threads like this are so stupid because if the OP gets bagged out he will claim he was just trolling.

The only ones embarrassed to play "childish" games are in fact childish

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Well, by your signature, it seems to me you don't own any nintendo product, but your cousin(underage, i belive) own one, correct? So nintendo develop their product with one thing in mind: who buys our products? Not people like you, it seems.

Bear one thing in your mind: any other company holding a ip for this long problably would screw with it.

I get it, ni no kuni is the pokemom game that nintendo never did.

If really want a totally mature, no-childsh pokemon game, i recommend pokemon conquest.

Not currently because I usually sell off what's not current. I started off as a Nintendo gamer however, and have owned most of their newer products from the N64, gamecube, Wii, gameboy color/advance/sp, and DS.

Yes, Ni No kuni is the pokemon game that nintendo never did. It proves that Pokemon can work on the Wii U in glorious HD with a E for everyone rating while still not making me play like a little girl.

PS: pokemon conquest kicks ass

Are you that insecure about yourself?.. Wanna be a cool space-marine with steroid issues instead?

Be careful what you wish for.

I swear to god Nintendo has some evil shit in their games. All of them.

They're twisted in the head over there lol.

The irony, complaining about a game having not grown up when it seems neither has the OP.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
― C.S. Lewis

I'm satisfied of XY as it is now, I don't relly mind the kiddy stuff too much as long as the monsters are as badass as ever (and they are). Actually there is some moe touch with the whole clothing feature, so I feel kinda at home.

That said, I wouldn't mind that they lend the franchise to Compile Heart so we can have an ecchi pokemon spin-off. Now that's in 3D it can do wonders X)
