No one recognizes the 6 button Sega Genesis controller at all. I thought it was great for fighting games

6 Button configuration of the Megadrive would be perfect for many modern fighting games. Must be why Capcom copied it for their fighting controller they release for Streat Fighter.

SNES d-pad is the best still though, followed by Playstation.

Couple of things I noticed from the videos, watching these ones are always weird because it's all very staged by 'the best' or the computer. I've seen people play at conventions and it's a dang bit slower. :P Also, it seemed that sometimes, even though Sabrewolf was blocking, Glacier was able to do a combo...it was all blocked but it didn't seem right.

Hmm, pie.

It was.

Some random thoughts:

-This game looks fucking epic
-Killer Instinct is right up there with Street Fighter and Soul Calibur (dropped the ball lately) as my favorite fighter
-Ultra Combos need a lot more flare
-More fighting games should have counters like Dead or Alive
-Online competition is going to be INTENSE

They do have counters, they are just more organic. Dead or Alive is simpler which means the counters will be crazier. Yes, there is a method to the madness through. When I say organic when you match the movement, its not just a quick breaker it flows into a throw of sorts. Most 3D fighters have grab, punch and kick reversals. KI was only known for combo breakers and now this one will be known for combo and counter-breakers. I love DOA's stages that can be broken though.

No its not, just Jago. Tell him the truth about new transaction system that was implemented.

A game on which you can beat the main campaign without spending any cent on it seems free to me.

Ripped from the gaf thread, thanks to whoever made it!

Thats more like a one character demo, not a full game. Its to create interest in buying either more characters or to purchase the full game. Those can be completed in like less than thirty minutes. Most sixty minute game trials last longer than that.

A demo doesn't allow you to beat the main campaing of the game, though. It doesn't matter if a game last thirty seconds. If you can play through those thirty seconds without paying anything, the game is free. If you want to invest more on the game because you feel like, then that's up to you.

Fighters dont have campaigns. They have arcade battles and most of those can be beaten in thirty minutes depending on the difficulty. In KI even faster than most seeing how few opponents you have.
