I love it, and I can say that I hated gen 5. Online is amazing! and it actually works... hands down the best thing to play online together with mario kart on the 3ds.

Looking forward to a possible gen 3 remake, also liked that gen a lot.

I haven't played Pokemon since gold/silver. This is the first Pokemon game since then that I really want to play. Makes me wish I had a 3DS

Okay, here we go!

Like many others, I cannot stop playing the game. I just got my 5th badge and am on my way to this scary house... So far I've been catching everything I haven't caught and have used no guides. I've swapped Pokemon for others, (Bagon for Gible) and am currently using Dephox, Venusaur, Lapras, Slyveon, and Gabite. Love the animations; it's like Pokemon Stadium which I loved! Seeing a nice variety of terrain and an abundance of Pokemon; ~ 5 per route. I feel 6th gen is not really about the new Pokemon, but a re invigoration of the Pokemon themselves. They all come to life beautifully! Seeing your TMs compatibility and your Pokemon during Surf is also awesome! Menus are fast, online is the best its been, and I'm trying to finish this post up, so i can get back to playing.

Complaints:
1) Not much of a story compared to Black and White.
*2) Difficulty is too casual. I wish they at least added a Hard mode, or challenge mode like B2 W2. (Pokemon Z should have this...)
Lived up to everything I wanted in my favorite franchise!!! This game brings new life to Pokemon and I cannot wait to see what GameFreak will deliver next!

Edit: I'm thinking this will end up being my 3rd favorite Gen. Behind 1 and 2.

I know I wouldn't but I don;t know if I can justify it with the little time I would have to play it. Maybe if I can find a really good deal this upcoming Black Friday. There's definitely a couple games that I want to get my hands on.

It honestly has to be my GOTY, I haven't been so glued to a game in a very long time, the move to 3D is simply fantastic, and online battling and trading is better than ever before. Even more so I can't wait to see what they do with the Gen 3 remakes and beyond.

It's my favorite game of the year, but could change I've only played 10 hours. That's new and not a re-release etc.

My complaints generally have to do with the graphics and presentation. Some things just are not as consistent as they should be.

1) The some things in 3D and not 3D is irritating.
2) The slowdown in 3D is really irritating, especially when you get the cooler looking spells which would look even cooler in 3D. And while the games artistic design is top notch. It's not pushing anything graphically that should be causing the slowdown.
3) Why have the circle battle pads with the background, why not just have the background like with Gym Battles
4) It's too easy. This applies to pretty much every pokemon game though.

The positives
1) It's pokemon, the great gameplay tweaked more than normal.
2) Dress up
3) The move to polygons makes it feel more fresh, and imo makes exploring feel more fun I guess. The animations make the game feel more alive and less static. It just feels magical that I've not felt with playing pokemon since the originals
