Forums - PC - nVidia announces the GTX 780 Ti

Damnit the hard nipples are distracting me...

What's it going to cost $1500? lol

700 bucks probably.

yeah more likely 700-1000$. I love competition, good for consumers. just wonder if this one is more powerful than titan, 8800 series will probably blow the competition since it will use unified memory.

So what games I can prove this card power ? besides Crysis 3 and BF4 cause this game doesn't interest me.

well, like cgi said, we don't even know the power of it but even already released games can be very demanding if you play them with a high resolution, highest possible settings and want to reach let's say constant 60fps.

not to talk about the games releasing as example next year. the witcher 3 and so on...

but it's obviously not a card for everyone.

oh ok thanks for the reply.

Looks like those super Titan rumors can now be put to rest, amongthe joy of those who bought a Titan or 2 (wright CGI?).

Now, if Nvidia were smart (which they are) and not greedy (we'll have a problem here), they will put the 780Ti just were the former 780 was in terms of price and in direct competition with AMD's 290X, and lower the price of the rest of the products so the 770 goes against the 280X, with the 780 between them.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Well sure, if this card proves to be less powerful than the Titan.

From Anandtech

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7433/nvidia-announces-geforce-gtx-780-ti

"The GTX 780 Ti is being positioned as NVIDIA’s new high-end gaming card, replacing the existing GTX 780 in that role. Specs, pricing, and the underlying hardware are all unknowns at the moment. Though the reasonable assumption right now is that we’re looking at something to replace the GTX 780 in its $650 slot, and that it will be another GK110 card with higher clocks and/or more SMXes enabled"

Its going to be like 7970 Ghz edition... Just a way for Nvidia to compete with AMD 290X and keep the price premium.
