Manga maybe, anime no, DBZ was really shitty IMO when it came to anime, but the manga was excellent.

Attack on Titan is overrated imo. It has its moments but overall is just ok. 

But to answer your question: apples and oranges, very different styles. 

It's better IMO. If you like intense, thrilling shows with stunning animation, unbelievable action sequences, and a plethora of characters that you actually care for and hope to succeed, then I'd say Attack on Titan should be right up your alley. I personally haven't been this into an Anime since Death Note.

The manga drawing style is nowhere near as refined but the story is interesting, it's hard to compared the 2 since one is just so much more gritty. I mean if you really want to compare, Berserk has them both beat. I'm strictly talking manga of course, Berserk anime was kinda shitty IMO.

Oh the new Berserk movies are awesome though.

AoT is a great anime. Whether or not it is as good as DBZ depend on your personal taste but but you should definitely try it. And if you liked, try Claymore, it is 26 episodes anime of which has much more in common with AoT than DBZ.

Which ended like shit and is nowhere as good as the manga :P

True, but it was great up to the episode 23 or 24 (before the final fight). And the animes are rarely near as good as them manga counterpart.
