A few things to point out is that we seem to only have VGC estimates for global sales, Nintendo handhelds always get Pokemon so there is no doubt that a significant amount of people already had one knowing one would come out, Pokemon software was pretty low in stock (comparatively speaking), and also your use of a percentage is misleading as most big sellers will have a similar percentage of buyers who already have the system.  

Oh, and since I see Max King of the Wild's post, I think I should say that being so dismissive because of VGC's numbers is a bad call.  If NPD shows you were wrong, people will jump on you for it.

Yes, a couple people. It certainly wasnt the mindset of the majority but it definitly gave me a few run ins with some people. They may try changing their story now though

i said sales would be up or flat week after week after WW hd. the flat part was mostly because of the week ending on oc 12th and 19, with no big releases. the week ending 26th has enough to raise sales and is close enough to november and other releases to keep week on week momentum.

well it did go up that was a given not just cause of Zelda but price drop. BUt it did drop down to 67,000 ish. I wouldnt really call that remaining flat.
