Looks lazy and subpar
The original trailer looked somewhat bland and basic, the music was boring and to top it off the e3 feed was terrible so the game looked low-rez and like 3DS title, so a lot of people became jaded. Also the name is kind of uninspired and dumb. People had good reason to doubt the game, despite Team Tokyo's track record.
The new pics and clips show great level variety and creativity, beautiful graphics, incredible attention to detail and music that sounds on par with the Galaxy series. This could be the best Mario yet, so people have good reason to change their minds and get hyped.

I didn't like it on the Cube either. Thought it was a blurry, boring mess. Playing through WWHD at the moment and I'm so glad I gave it a second chance. A few tweaks to the gameplay and all that blur gone and it's fast becoming my favourite Zelda!

People hated the game because the graphics lacked detail hardcore. |

I was just mocking this horrible thread from a while back where some rediculous people described 3D World as lazy and subpar ;)
Exactly !
I have a Wii U and this game looks fantastic. I am on the fence about getting it though because I think Mario is starting to become somewhat overexposed. I know that Mario is needed at this point to help the install base and I don't blame them for trying to drive the business, but I would really love to see a Waverace or Starfox, or F-Zero with online and local multiplayer instead for once.

As most gamers, including me, are.

You traitor, how about our perfect day I was planning? Drinking Sangria in the park and playing Driveclub and Killzone Shadowfall?
