I can definitely see the reason why they would do this. More money, I guess.. They want to see how the fan bases are for the other next gen consoles to try and maximize profits. Good for them as they get more money. Good for us as we could have another big hit game for the consoles next year.

This could backfire however as now Ubisoft needs this game to sell well on EVERYTHING that is releases on now that they are taking a hit on profit losses and such.

What if some Nintendo only fans can/want to buy one game at around that time and have to choose between Kart/Smash (if they release at that time) and Watchdogs?

And what about the CURRENT gen players that wanted to buy the game. Why should they heave to wait?

Funny how much they are doing this and yet Nintendo still has you read text. And i bet Nintendo sells more merchandise, makes more on cartoons, ect than all the other companies combined

Nintendo resorts to text to make sure people can still read.  It is more of an educational tool than money saving technique.  Pretty soon most people that play video games will only be able to recognize shapes for QTE.

We shoudl probably also switch multiple choice test from A, B, C, D, to the symbols on a controller, Triangle, square, circle, X

Everyone has to bring a controller to class and you have pop quizes where you push a button on the controller for your answer.  THis gets send digitally to your online account and you get scored.  Now more Diploma's you instead get a trophy.  Platinum for a 4.0.  Gold for 3.5+. Silver for 3.0 and up and bronze for 2.5 or 2.0 or whatever is required to graduate

Yeah, because delaying games have worked out great for Ubisoft lately.

So instead of this year, they are putting it near Titanfall. The medias darling new IP. Titanfall will destroy WDogs in reviews and media time. What are Ubi thinking?

You were right in that previous thread about projected losses as oppose to what I said about competing against it's own IP. Knowing how much they put into the project, it's a big screw up to delay game and lose out on that much revenue.

Only thing I can think of on PS4 would be the new Infamous.

It's certainly wise to release a higher standard game so the delay is probably better for the brand. If they released an unfinished buggy game next month it would tarnish the franchises reputation far more. However they really have left it a bit too late. I wonder what will happen with the Watchdogs PS4 bundles.

Well deserved for them, after all they hyped us up for nothing.
