Despite being a focal point in SCEE’s #jrpgvita campaign, Tales of series producer Hideo Baba stated there were no plans to localize Tales of Innocence R, and Tales of Hearts R for western markets:

—I’m sure you’ve heard of the #JRPGVita movement on Twitter. Many of these requests have been for the PS Vita Tales games. Are there any updates on their localization?

Baba: I have received so many requests about the PS Vita Tales of titles from fans. But, as of now, I don’t have any specific plans to release those titles in western countries.

Both Tales of Innocence R, and Tales of Hearts R were remakes of earlier Tales titles on the Nintendo DS. Those versions of the games were not localized. Namco Bandai released an iOS port of Tales of Hearts R in Japan last week.

Seriously what the hell, if these were localized I'd run down to the store and buy a Vita right now.

God damnit namco, is it that hard to localize a game ?

Just give the game english texts and forget about adding in the voice acting.

The messed up thing is one of the games, I don't remember which, is already translated in English...

It's almost like Sega bought Namco and forced their policies on them..

Well I hear Sony has a team thats main focus to to localize Japanese games to the west. Hopefully this and FF type 0 are on the top of there list.

Hey your right. It's like namco and sega in terms of bad localization isn't made by coincidence, now is it ? 

Do you mean "losing money" cause it won't sell well in the west unless it did what I recommended.
