Damn, I need to do some research too. Mewtwo is my favorite pokemon of all time. He/She is clearly in both as a megaevolution or whatever. Does anyone know anything about that here? Different specs or moves?
Y's legendary looks better too imo.

Neither?!? Aren't all Pokémons supposed to be in it?!? |
IDK. That why I said "OR"
Even if every pokemon is in both games combined, I doubt that includes legendaries.
But either way, my picture i posted is basically the only guide one needs. Look at that picture and see what pokemon you want. You will have to trade for the other list. Pokemon not on that list don't matter, cause if they are not on the picture, then you can either get them on both or neither. Both of which woudl have no barring on your decision.
I prefer Pokémons that are inspired by actual animals and I have no idea what Y is supposed to be. X is nice. It reminds me of a Patronus.

Different stats. Dont' know abilities.
But X's Mewto is ATK based, while Y's Mewto is Sp Atk based.
So if you like using physical attacks with Mewto, then go X.
If you like using special attacks with Mewto, then go Y.
As I said, I dont' know their abilities, if different or not. Presumably they shoudl be, since megacharazard x and y have differetn and being as X and Y mewto have different fighting styles, they should probably be as well.

Is that true? Surely given the pokemon type special atk would be the best bet.

Mewto can learn nearly every move, so really its up to ones preference.
He will be able to have great moves regardless.
I mean look at psycho cut. Physical with 70 damage, 100% accuracy and critical hits quite frequently.
Or earthquake, ect.
Besides, most people may be expecting a sp atk mewto and thus have sp def guys out.
| irstupid said: here is a quick guide for you. Otherwise the rest of the pokemon will be either in both version or neither. Also any pokemon on that list I posted that has a Mega form not shown, their stone is on the other version. So you have to trade for it. |
Are those seriously the only exclusive Pokemon between both games? That's actually pretty low all things considered.

I doubt I'll play competitive online. I've known about it's existence for a while now, just can't be bothered with all that breeding and grinding. Single player just demolishing everything with Mewtwo i what I want! Nostalgia, ya know?

Well Mewto has yet ot caught that I've seen so far with Leakers. So kind of hard to demolish everything in game when he is not available till super late.
