So Today at around 3 in the morning I finally got all the vivillon patterns even though no one in the forum helped me and I can finally get on the story

Ah cool thanks guys! Good to know HA's are obtainable in game this time around. Also, wasn't the Torchic distribution thing going to start on X/Y's release? I have yet to hear how you actually go about obtaining the Torchic.

Huh, looks like I keep missing important things during the adventure... (didn't realize that I didn't pick up Cut under hours after I left the Palace).

Where do you get Lapras?

Aftwr the 4th gym for free, before you use surf for the 1st time. Someone gives it to you in that place.

Also, just beat the 6th gym (those eyes... @_@) and I think I've got my team!

When you open the game, right under you profile before you enter your game is a option called ''mystery gift'' (or somthing similar, I don't have it in front of me so I'm not sure), hit that, afterwards someone in any pokémon center will give it to you.

As T-Bone said, Safari Friend Zone and Horde Battles are one way. Another is with the Ability Changer item that can be bought in the Battle Maison for a hefty amount of BP.

that doesnt change it to hidden abilities...... does it?

It switches between a pokemon's available abilities, so I think it's possible to change into the HA. If it doesn't, it won't make any sense it being worth 200 BP. 

@Smeags - Actually the Lapras is given to you by the guy in the green shirt when you first enter Route 11, he's right besides the route post. After you beat gym 3, not 4. 

And you've only beat the 3rd gym? damn your team is much higher than mine (currently levelled at 32 everyone).

Oh right, I  must have mixed up Fly and Surf then.

I beat the 6th gym and I now have - Chesnaugh, Delcatty, Auroros, Honedge, Helioptile, Pidgeott, Lapras, Golett.

I'm probably going to pick up Pumpkaboo as my next pokémon.

I just picked up what I thought to be the last copy of either version being X, but it turns out on the next shelf they have another row full of them! Looks like Nintendo made sure there would be no stock issues this time around!

As a heads up: Pumpkaboo only needs to be traded to evolve to Gourgeist. Both are super cute. :3
