Any way, preoders number are just a very small percentage of a very long race, probally less than 3%.

They seem rather incompetent from my perspective, but that doesn't mean they can't lead. The evidence simply doesn't point in that direction. 

Sorry, but I haven´t seen any major retail ever uncover with details the numbers from either consoles.

Please, if you have the numbers show us.

PS: I think a guy that manages a major retail in a major market has much more credibility to estimate how a product would sell than any annonimous guy in a internet forum.

Not really. He's guessing; none of it is based upon any evidence at all. And worse, he's guessing based upon the demographics of his chain (which I've never heard of) so it cannot be extrapolated with any accuracy even if we had some hard data to the broader market. 

Me, I'm using the limited data we do have to comment.

I can´t argue that the PS4 won the first round for the mind and hearts of the ultra to hardcore gamers. And that´s what those numbers show

The PS4 is cheaper too.

What I´m saying here is that the game is far from over, in fact, is not even began.

John Lewis is a fairly upmarket retailer that caters to relatively wealthy customers. I imagine they'll be selling this alongside their ridiculously expensive OLED TVs... and we all know that X1 has an advantage with TV features!

Well at certain retailers in NA, id imagine X1 would be more popular then PS4



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

There is no doubt that some stores may well sell more XB1 (especially in the USA) than PS4... that will definately happen.

In this case you cannot currently *pre-order* either the Ps4 or XboxOne from John Lewis, but I would also say that most people are not going to get their console from JL. So its a bit of a stretch unless they have some store consumer survey to say one console is going to outsell the other. I wouldnt be surprised if they are using PS3/Xbox sales in their stores to suggest this, that would be perfectly reasonable if you didnt really know the market that well because trends might suggest that the Xbox360 has been selling better in their store, so rightly you would expect the same.

I did see an analyst suggest that the XboxOne was going to outsell the PS4 3:1 by Xmas, so John Lewis's is certainly not the most outlandish statement I've seen.

Oh from normal gaming stores, there have been a number (of course unconfirmed) reports that the PS4 was selling at least 2-4:1.

On another note, I was told in a local store near me (not JL) they had 24 PS4 and 7 XboxOne pre-orders (from a very reliable source)... it's not the first time i've heard this type of thing.

But to be honest, I can't wait for this whole thing to be over so that we can move on....
