Who knows. Maybe turn based RPGs on consoles will make a come back just like 2D games.

2D games are making a comeback in part because they are cheap to make. Epic jRPGs aren't that cheap, though I suppose something like Persona isn't too expensive

After ALL the time the game spent in development I expect the best Final Fantasy game and no less. This game is set to dissapoint.

You can say what you want about the FFXIII characters, but Sazh was an awesome character.

OT: at this point, i don't really care about FF that much, FFXIII ruined it for me, but i hope the game is atleast decent.

I want it to be a game of the same staple of quality of FF7/8/9, but i doubt it will be.

I'm sure it wont be terrible, but i suspect the series has seen its better days. If this game is what i think it is, then it wont be too far off from Kingdom Hearts with a different visual style. This means that the areas will probably be small.

Personally, i wish they would go back to the 2D background with 3D characters and 3D battles formula. That way they could create good and vaste games without the excuse that the budget and the 3D assets are too expensive and time consuming to make. I couldnt care less wether the game is in 3D, aslong as its a good game.

Honestly, there isnt anything I want from this game. Only thing I might want from them is to hurry and release it so they can move on to something that actually looks good to me, like a ff 7 remake! I will not be buying XV, it looks like it will be worse than XIII, to me anyway...

I have yet to be disappointed in regards to Final Fantasy soundtracks, even after Uematsu's departure, so I'm not worried about Final Fantasy XV's soundtrack. I've also enjoyed some of the series' massive departures in gameplay, such as XII and XIII (despite being a long-time fan), so I'm willing to give XV's battle system a chance.

Seeing as how Final Fantasy XV is going for the serious, dramatic tone, I'm not expecting it to have many of the comedic elements that characterized many of the earlier Final Fantasy entries, but I really wish that Square-Enix would bring back a lighter tone for XVI.
