Forums - General - I hate rallies and anything that blocks the roads!

you should go to Egypt, I spent 12 hours on car to get to the airport because of the whiny protestors blocking ALL the main road from Cairo to Alexandria, and Cario itself was a shithole filled with shitty people who used that time to rob everyone, and then blame israel.

this is in jun this year, it was even worse last year and the year before it.

Now that you've said that, why in the world should I go to Egypt then? :D

You might feel differently if your civil rights were being violated and friends and families homes and lives were being ripped apart.

Now with that, the most annoying for me are all those dang marathons, races, runs, flutag, etc. It's great to exercise, don't get me wrong. But why do people have to inconvenience everybody and force them to know they are doing it?

We have a marathon that makes a mess of the city every year. Ok, it's famous. I can handle one. Then some bike people decided to do one too at a different time. No warning to the people that are being cut off from their jobs, family, hospitals, etc.

I'd much that be inconvenienced for an important cause, than someone needing attention for their vanity exercises.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

I remember being in a protest once. It was about the construction on the harbor.I was actually forced by the school to join in but it was supposed to be just a walking marathon. I guess some people decided to take this opportunity to protest. So me and my friends were demanding free pie for everyone for the entire walk XD.

Anyways its legal to protest in HK without announcing to the authorities. The police will give you an area for protest like parts of a road. This way you can be separated by the general public but still voice out your concerns. The police would also provide protection for the protest and the general public.

Live where there are winters like the midwest.

There are only two types of roads.

1. icy
2. construction

It's either winter time and thus bad roads obviously due to cold, snow, ice, ect. Or else its the summer time and everywhere is doing road construction so you have slow ass roads and detours, yellow cones everywhere.

There is like only a couple weeks every year where you can freely drive around on nice clean roads with no cares.

The last thing that blocked my road were a bunch of cows that were guided down from the mountains with the police holding the traffic so they could pass safely.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
