Forums - Gaming - Instead of buying 4BONE, why not buy a Wii U this holiday?

happydolphin : I didnt buy it just for 3rd Party but it would have been a good reason to not buy PS4/One now and keep WiiU.

and no nobody could predict what was going to happen... HD + Nintendo good sales(Wii+3DS) made us believe them when they promised good 3rd Party support, it was simple.

Dr.EisDrachenJaeger : I know, i have no doubt some games will be very good next year, like X, but it wasnt enough ( maybe a real and ambitious mario 3D like Galaxy or Sunshine+ Metroid+ Kid Icarus scheduleded for 2014 would have helped but it wont happen before 2015 )

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Do you have an idea of how many people whine about Vita(even if the console has a lot of good games now and coming) ? How many people spit on it  ? I think gamers are very soft when they talk about Wii U (being a nintendo console helps) compared to Vita... So it could be worse.

Oh I know the Vita hate is so bad.

It's always sad to see.

I hear you. They had me fooled, but not when it came to my money. As a long time Nintendo fan, I can tell you to always buy their home consoles with the forethought that you're buying it for the 1st party games, and with the bonus of some exclusive 3rd party games that are the rare gems.

Hopefully you'll be able to make some money selling it as it grows in popularity this holiday.

We hardly know what their 2014 looks like beyond 7 games so far.(Along with the 90 or so indie games the console will have in the first two quarters)

As for Mario, well people are doing a turn around on that seemingly

its hard to understand that i want good graphics without the need of spending too much money or get bored by the fact that you need to mess everytime in options in the games on pc, i want a upgrade for this gen , ps4 does it ,nintendo wiiU dont cause i dont blow 300 dolars for a console only 2 times more powerfull than this gen that dont get third partys, happy now ?

i am done here cause you can´t accept the fact people dont want to buy a wiiU

I can accept that you don't buy the U. I can't accept the shitty reasons you first gave.

Yes, if you consider ease of use a priority over PCs, then you get graphics and ease of use with the PS4. But saying it's all about graphics is complete BS, as it's clear that graphics come 2nd after ease of use for you.

Because otherwise, you would just get a PC and not bother with a PS4.

Perhaps he doesn't want insane power consumption for the sake of playing games that will, compared to the ps4 look more or less the same  for a more expensive or similarly priced PC. top end consumption of 90 watts compared to the average gaming pc using 600 or more depdning on setup, is quite a difference.

Perhaps he doesn't want to use hacked up drivers to use a dualshock 3 wirelessly, or doesnt like the 360 wireless controller.

Perhaps he doesn't want to pay for a copy of windows, doesn't like Linux or doesnt trust pre-builts that come with windows installed.

Perhaps he prefers being able to take a disk, slap it in the drive and play, without cd keys, installation, worrying about drive space or DRM

Perhaps he wants to play all the games he owns with the same online infrastructure, tied to a single online username and not the mish mash of individual multiplayer servers, accounts and services that PCs use, even if purchased through steam for many games.

Perhaps he wants to play the console exclusives that will not see a PC release.

Or maybe, just maybe, perhaps you shouldnt get hung up over a persons reasoning for not wanting a console, even if you dont agree with that reasoning, after all arguing with him about it isn't going to make him suddenly think "oh wait you are right, be back later im going to go buy one right now". as such there is absolutely no reason for you to persue it.

Perhaps he should come with a better argument then when he presents his reasoning and not get into a hissy when someone questions him over the holes in that reasoning? Rather than him wanting to think about it and address the issue instead of just saying "Screw this, Im out"

Don't act like the Wii U is a next gen console like PS4/X1, we know it's not the case. It's a PS360... problem is PS360 have more games and are less expensive.

/thread

I find your point here to be incoherent at best.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Over half the games listed on the wiiu have average to low reviews. Batman arkham origins is coming to all platforms. It would probably take at least $600-700 to build a ps4 like system, and that's low balling. Xbox one would probably be about $550-600. I could build a PC with similar or better performance than a wiiu for the same or less. A problem with your "great graphics, better than current gen" is very misleading. A Honda accord and Lamborghini both have far better performance than a model T. But that doesn't mean they perform that same. Possibly the worst post I've ever seen. You've also neglected multiple exclusives on both platforms. And it's also unfair to pin up all of the exclusives that wiiu has made over a year versus exclusives being made in a month. By that math. the xbox one and ps4 have way more exclusives per month they've been released.

excellent rebuddle

He posted that gif because, holy crap dude, read what you said. You sound like my uncle when he forgets to take his pills in the afternoon. Also you mispelled rebuttal.

Sorry I stated facts.

Reasons I won't be getting a wii u instead of a ps4 this holiday

when playing some games so far I didn't like looking up then looking down over and over

while fun with friends I wouldn't enjoy it as much alone

there haven't been games making me really want the system

I already have over a year of plus still and will be getting access to ps4 games weather I have the system or not. (I'd prefer with the system)

Although there are only so many games out at first. I know more games are coming for it.

I have preferred the variety of games on Sony consoles and hand helds to Nintendo for a few generations and expect that to continue.

and I hope that my vita will work will with the ps4 although I'll wait and see if I can remote play without the lag I have with the ps3
