Release day is the embargo? That sucks. A mistake imo. I think bc many ppl are unsure about Beyond, the reviews were really what were needed to give it a sales push before launch. I think first week sales will not be that great first week bc of this (3-400k?). Hope I'm wrong!

I'm really excited for Beyond, but even I wanted to make sure some of the previews I read were just doubting for nothing. Will be waiting to make my purchase decision until reviews pour in.

That's why there's a demo, which has received very good feedback.

If we judged things based on demos, Aliens Colonial Marines would be a solid 9/10 game :P. And i've had bad experiences with release day embargo on reviews....especially after playing Remember Me.

Don't know, but people rely too heavily on reviews these days.

Some of my favorite movies and games have average or mediocre review ratings, and some of the highest rated stuff I find to be total crap.

Whatever happened to just giving things a chance if they look interesting/appealing to YOU?

Movies and music are very subjective, I don't blame you for ignoring reviews on those forms of media.

But what are some games you enjoy that have mediocre reviews?

The Aliens Colonial Marines was a trailer situation. I don't recall a playable demo open to the public.

Are you sure? I remember a couple of youtubers being excited about the game after playing the E3 demo....

Every game critic HATES Quantic dream and always make spoilers out of spite. So, if you like QD, buy Beyond and stay away from reviews.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Yeah I'm pretty certain it was just highlights of the game that got people excited. A little off-topic but the game looked bad to me even before it was released, I couldn't understand why people were excited.

Or just watch the PewDiePie walkthrough and ruin the game forever.

Legend of Dragoon instantly comes to mind. One of my favorite games of all time.

Then recently I really enjoyed Remember Me. Very underrated game

Is this a troll attempt? Because Heavy Rain averaged an 8.7 on Metacritic. I find it hard to believe that every critic hates Quantic Dream and will give their games a bad score after seeing how well they liked the last game. If you ask me, most of the hate for the game came from many irrational consumers, not critics.
