Looks pretty neat!
I read the book years and years ago, but I don't recall there being quite so much action in it, tbh...

Also, Legolas' eyes look weird.

That's because there really isn't. The book follows the events from Bilbo's point of view, thus all the battles occuring (which he didn't participate in!) are only mentioned in a few sentences. The movie fleshes them out to fill the trilogy.

IIRC the only "action-scenes" actually described in the book were the attack of the Wargs from the first movie, Bilbo's fight against the spiders and the Battle of the five armies (or whatever the English name of that battle is).

EDIT: They killed the goblin king, too.

Looking forward to it. Still 48fps and 3D? Going back to 24fps after seeing the first movie was horrible :(

I thought 48fps 2D was fine. I saw it in 48fps 3D as well and felt seasick in places. And I saw it in 24fps. Over all I'd say 48fps 2D was best.

I see. So they're not following the book too strictly then. Well, I'm okay with that, I really enjoyed the 1st one, and the next one looks great too!

Legolas' eyes still look weird.

Wait, what the hell is Legolas doing there? Whhhaaaaa?

Anyways, I'm gonna watch the crap out of this come November. (Release dates for these type of releases don't change much in Holland compared to the US and UK, right? Still not too acquainted with how things go down in Amsterdam...)

Looks OK. This is a slightly different trailer than the one I saw in the theater, but they both cover the same material. I'm going to see it in the theater, because I'm a sucker for The Hobbit and I admire Jackson tremendously, but I'm not very excited. The first installment was weak and I don't have much hope the second movie will turn things around. It still looks overproduced, overloaded with superfluous plot points, and bloated with digital effects.

This is going to be a three parter?

Looks good. Will the elf leader never trust Bilbo? Even after all he has done? So sad...

Dwarven King not elf

I am gonna watch this shit on IMAX or die pirating

I wish Legolas and that made up chick weren't in it though...

Look horrible. Why the fuck is Legolas in it and that chick that is made up only for the movie? This all could have been kept in one film. The Hobbit is supposed to be more lighthearted. Ugh. Disgusting.
