One small problem with that.
People use their tablets to do other things. People use their smartphones (mini-tablets) to do other things.
But what other things would people do with their Steam Machines?
Android piggybacks on established usable platforms. Portable usable platforms (make calls, browse web, etc.).
Steam Machine is probably not gonna be portable since they are focusing it all around the living room.
If Valve was making their own tablet/smartphone, maybe that would be different.
But then they would have to face off against Apple's iOS & Google's Android.
Valve would have been much better off just making a Steam Client for the smartphones & tablets.
This Steam Machine is cooling off very fast.
