I think "software sells hardware" is kind of a false misnomer to be honest. Every system eventually has lots of games to plays and even a fair amount of good quality ones. There has to be more factors to it than that.

To get the attention of those people, you would need to have something like Destiny or Titanfall exclusive for Wii U this fall, not Donkey Kong Country and another Mario game. 

I don't believe that gamers fall so neatly into separate categories. Many people enjoy both platformers and shooters, both Nintendo and non-Nintendo games.

most of those people are gonna be your multiplaform owners. as he said those games werent going to stop anyone who had their minds set on either PS4orxbone

Not everyone has their mind made up though.


if youve already preordered the systems your mind is made up, and they have alot of preorders. And WIi U was avalaible all year but very few were biting

That's cos "all year" it didn't have the the combined library of DKC, Sonic Lost World, Pikmin3, and Wind Waker HD.

but people knew those games were coming and soon they even knew most of the release dates, but if you wanna believe those games are swaying anyone who already was going to get a PS34 or xbone, then keep on believing

Very few people will buy a console for a selection of games that aren't out yet. They will wait until they are.

you sure about that? Find that hard to belive considering the fact that people are buying consoles that arent even out yet...alot

There's a reason hardware sales spike when a big game comes out, instead of when said game is announced.

yeah i know that doesnt meant there arent alot of people that willing to buy consoles and just sit on them until something they wanted comes out. Preorders suggest just that

If you mean console preorders, maybe for those people the launch lineup is enough for them?

I still reckon most gamers want to play games on their console, not let it collect dust for months while they await the games they want.

Myself and a lot of people I know and have encountered online are waiting on Wii U to get the right software instead of buying one now on the promise that someday Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and X will arrive.

sure its enough for some, but there are alot of those "somes" as the numbers show. But of course more people are willing to wait.

As for WIi U i dont know what the hell happened their, I actually know two people that did buy the Wii U and did just that, wait they both sold theirs. I didnt know you didn have a WI U. Interesting. Yeah in the case of Wii U people arent buying and just sitting OR and this is a big OR they do know whats coming and still dont care.

I've resigned myself to the belief that it's delayed, but I would still appreciate confirmation...
