I just hope this doesn't mean that Link is functionally useless as a character choice again (since the balancing in Brawl meant that if you liked Link's move set, there was no reason at all to choose him over Toon Link, who was far better balanced with what Brawl emphasized, namely speed)

If we go by link's Up-B in the trailer (I just watched it again), it seemed pretty powerful. Hard to tell what % the opponents were on, but they got wiped off the screen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvudMu-5kIU @1:16). True, the game is going through balancing, but my take is that they won't fuck link up this time.

At least, I sure hope not.

One of the earlier updates this week was about them buffing Samus, too, and she got hit with the useless stick HARD in Brawl (i liked using ZSS better), so there is indeed hope.

Cloth textures really stand out. Looks like a clay doll dressed up.

Truly impressed with the looks of this game. Can't wait to see all characters in action.

If he has the same moves as normal Link, then that's a wasted character slot.
