Nope, I no longer buy mags. There was one mag that I bought every month, Hobby Consolas (a spanish mag), but during the start of this gen they became so biased that I simply stopped caring.

I still remember one of the last mags I got, where a small game for the PS2 that no one cared about was given a whole page (only to get a sub 80 score) and yet Zack & Wiki only got 1/4 of a page with (I think) a 85 score. People called them Sony Consolas for a reason.

Now they have a site with the same name, I don't know if the mag still exists or not.

Please excuse my bad English.

I get the digital version of GameInformer as a part of my Gamestop pro account, but I rarely read the magazine.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I'm with you.

I used to buy a Nintendo magazine, but after discovering the internet it became useless. I also noticed it was extremely biased and often had a lot of misinformation.

I use to be really into gaming magazines. Had subscriptions at various points in life to GamePro, EGM, Game Informer, PSM, and Nintendo Power.

I think all but Nintendo Power I stopped around 2005 area as NP did great gifts with subscriptions. Even then I stopped with them in 2009.

I did have an @Gamer subscription for 2 years as they had insane coupons for games at Best Buy letting me getting games like Mass Effect 3 for $10 months after launch. Once the coupons were greatly scaled back I stopped using it sometime in 2011.

Magazines simply lack any reason for me to get one. The news is generally weeks old due to logistics. The reviews hold no value to me and I can get everything and video online from various sources. I have Game Informer for regular stuff, but also regularly go to Siliconera for my niche gamine. Lastly have VG CHartz which is good at keeping me in the loop.

Yeah you'll find that with any of the mags that were focusing on one platform.

Nope, it's become completely pointless.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Ever since OPM got shutdown, I swore to never look or buy at another gaming mag since again. I'm honestly surprised magazines still exist for gaming with so many news blogs out there. Magazines are just..instantly out of date as soon as they're printed. lol

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

I find it any gaming mags in print are still around. Those things are more doomed than newspapers. A small part of my childhood misses them.

It's funny how games are easier than ever without the need for outside help like mags/guides/Internet, but back in the day when you could have really used that sort of thing, you'd just have to wait and pray that the next Nintendo Power/EGM/Game Informer had some hints to tell you which random bush to whack or which tile to stand on and play the flute and wait for exactly 20 seconds.

Once they became beyond the point of being generic whores advertising shitty games with no desire to push unique and new experiences I stopped giving a flying #$%^.

Honestly, pushing more of the same without having an ounce of their magazines devoted to anything outside the world of EA/Actvision/Ubi Soft just killed any desire to reup my GameStop club membership and get that bathroom reading material anymore.
