I'm making this thread just to express my frustration with Microsoft. This is my opinion, and it may be biased, but since I literally own every console, I feel it's legitimate.

I'm not buyone a One because of poor customer service. In all honesty I've been on the line with Microsoft a good solid 15 hours in the life of my 360 trying to solve one problem after another. I'm just sick of it. Microsoft charges you $60 a year for XBLG with no realistic short term options available (3 months for $25? Yea right!), and the level of service I get in return is just shit.

That's it. Actually I'll probably buy a One console end of life (so like 6-7 years from now) to pick up the exclusives I can't play on PC, but that's it. I'm so sick of MS. Below are all the problems I've had which MS has just ignored me on.

Console is broken (8x), I bought a separate extended warrenty from Best Buy, can't they just replace my broken console instead of you?

MS: Nope, we want to reduce fail rates, we'll claim your console isn't broken unless it doesn't even start, maybe fix your console if we can.

I must have sent my console in for repair 8 or 9 times. (Note it only broke 3 times, I was just denied repairs 5 or 6 times, even though the console would freeze within 30 minutes of use).
-Once they replaced it with another broken console and I had to spend an hour and a half on the phone to explain to them how it wouldn't play half my games.
-Another time they actually replaced it, but not with an HDMI model like Best Buy would have
-The other 6 times, they just said it was working, despite it freezing and crashing on me every time I tried to play it
-After my warrenty expired I just bitched at Best Buy, and a nice floor salesman gave me a new console and claimed mine was defective. Was so happy.

Won't repair MS brand parts. I bought a 360 gaming wheel for Forza 2 and PGR3 back when the 360 released. I enjoyed it for 2 years, but in 2009 they discontinued it because of a push towards Kinect. That's fine, but the problem was my dog chewed the power cable, the wheel doesn't recognize 3rd party power supplies (even if you match the voltage and amps), MS pulled all new wheels off the shelf, and they don't stock resupply parts.

MS: You're f**ked, buy a Kinect.

Just annoying, Nintendo sells supply parts for all their consoles and accessories up to NES. Heck, I lost my NES power bar, and found out that if you buy a Nintendo Gamecube Power bar, you can take the end off and use it for your NES-N64.

XBLG can't redeem code. Lots of problems, I've had to change my account just to register a short term XBLG code, and couldn't play Windows games on my windows phone for months because of it. I've had a lot of problems here, I just don't want to start.

Windows Phone I can't use my paypal account, which is on my XBL account, and I've been on the phone for a solid hour and a half now now. All for Crimson Dragon for $0.99.....

EDIT: They hung up on me.....I ended up just adding my credit card and paying that way, but I really wanted to use PayPal, and I already had a Paypal account attached to my profile which I have used to buy 360 Arcade games with.....sigh

This is why MS pisses me off. They made a low quality 360, wouldn't admit to the high fail rate issue (solution 4 motherboard clips instead of 2, costs $0.50), and just ignored gamers to keep profit margins high.....customer support is worse then Rogers, and I'm just sick of it.

That's my rant.....while you're here, what next gen consoles are you buying? For me:

3DS - ASAP, was waiting on a redesign with a better battery, but a black 3DS XL is good enough. Just looking for a sale.
WiiU - When X releases (2014/2015)
PS4 - 2015 (I have had bad experiences with 1st gen Sony products, and I have a lot of PS3 games to finish)
PSV - Down the road, I bought a PSP just last year, still have 20 games for it. Plus I softmodded it to play GBA/PS1 games, so I'm playing all the GBA/PS1 games which I own (I'm doing this legit), and well I have a lot of PS1 games. So I'm in no rush for a PSV, but I will get one, one day.
One - 2020 (When the console gen ends, just to pick up Halo, Forza, and any other non-PC exclusives)

Ill get a X1 when its $300 and if it has a bunch of exclusives that I really want.  PS4 and PSV higher up on my list of consoles to get.

dont know for sure yet but as of now its PS4 if i can find one this year waiting for face offs on next gen 3rd partys to make final decision

Good for you can't hold that long loving Forza too much. Liked the second one loving 3, 4 and Horizon. Plus Dead Rising 3 is going to be a beast want to play that ASAP also.

Customer support can suck all the joy out of gaming... I had a bad experience with Sony CS recently that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Furthermore, I've never owned an Xbox console, but have never been more interested in purchasing one. I plan on buying one next year around halo's release as I imagine there will be a special bundle type deal and hopefully an improved version of the device as well.

You share many complaints and frustrations with other Xbox fans who have chosen to put them aside and get the Xbox One on release. Surely you can ignore them too?

As a loyal MS follower I'd dump MS in a heart beat if my system broke 8 times. I was already pissed the second time it broke even though it was four years apart. Though I don't think MS will have issues with the newer system with all the supposed stress tests It's gone through. If the XB1 had even a 5% failure rate after a few years there would be hell to pay.

Damn your 360 broke down 8 times 0.0 I would be pissed aswell.

No one would be angry if the X1 had that failure rate. I'm pretty sure both consoles will have failure rates of 5%-10%

Who wouldn't be pissed if their 360 broke down 8 times. Luckily for me though I've only gone threw one 360 and luckily for me d21lewis was kind enough to buy me a replacement console.
