Disagree... The web browser on my Samsung S3 even lags sometimes compared to the S4, etc.  When is the last time you tried surfing the web using the 3s.  I'd about bore my eyes out if you forced me to do that...

Upgrades are good for the economy, as most of the time old phones are resold over and over until they fail, not sure what you mean about resources.  It's a big ecosystem.

Yeah, it's amazing how many iPhones are in circulation.  What does iOS 7 work on?  How far back?

I knew this would happen. And then all those in the other thread who hoped it would fail because they thought it sucked. Welcome to the real world, almost doubled iPhone 5's first weekend !

As a sidenote; iOS7 rules. Best update ever. I recommend everyone with a iPhone 4 or higher, ie. everyone that's able to, to upgrade to iOS7.

Well I prefer Android, but some people seem to be baffled by people wanting to upgrade which I don't get.  Also, Apple is an American company which is hard to hate on completely.  Their phones and OS are designed in the USA.  Whereas with Android, most of the time just the OS is designed here (Samsung, HTC, Sony, all foreign companies).

I know not everyone here is from the US, but seeing as I am, good to see some American companies doing really well.

I thought I heard a few people saying that for the 4 it's not such a good idea, minimum 4s and up seeing as it is a bit more of a resource hog (to be expected with more features).
