GTA 5 is amazing now if only they got rid of all the MASSIVE amount of glitches and cheap shit antics in this game. I know its a big game but you'd think after a $265 million dollar budget you'd run into less glitches than Skyrim. Granted they're small glitches that aren't game changers but the game isn't exactly enjoyable when there's a car around EVERY corner (typical GTA, these guys need to hire better programmers) and signs teleporting in front of you when it wasn't there a second ago. That shits annoying when you on a bike. Just so many different small glitches like that.
Storyline so far is pretty good. I've gotten all the missions gold so far and that goes for S&F missions as well. Tennis is fun, golf is alright, the races are horribly placed. I lost a race because my guy ran into a telephone pull inches, literally inches from the finish line and I ended up being tossed from my bike because I didn't go over the brdige absolutely perfectly.
Everything in GTA is completely half-assed except for the storyline but that's what they get for putting that much content into a game; less focus. Still a fun game though.
The endgame feels pretty lonely I must say.
There are some decent side quest (Freaks and Strangers) but they aren't as good as the story missions, the missions and content on the main storyline were phenomenal though.
GTA Online can't come soon enough.
I'm about 32 hours in with some of the story line to go and I still think I'll keep playing for a while, I want to own that golf club!
I'm not sure if there is really any point in buying cars since I seem to lose them very quickly, so I might as well just steal them, but when you buy properties you tend to unlock extra missions
The one thing that I am disappointed by is the lack of air races, I think they are only there for those who got the special edition
Anyway, a very good game, but I can't be alone in thinking it would have had far more content if they hadn't made GTA Online. There are so many locations that are completely unused. I know that I still have 5 missions to go, but the story lacks the epic-ness of San Andreas

True, well partially it's open world and leaves room for things to do and there really isn't much to do other than shoot cops or exercise. It's probably because I enjoyed the campaign so much and had so much fun with it that I want more, but it's sadly over for me. :(
Just Cause 2 had a so-so campaign but even after the credits rolled there was still a lot of fun to have with the vehicles and that grappling hook. A lot of experimenting with that damn grappling hook. Saints Row 3 I could atleast spend the money I earned on upgrading my character and I could upgrade my properties. I was probably just expecting the fun to keep on going even after I beat the game, it will probably all change in a week or two though when GTA Online goes live. |
GTA online will be great :)

I too loved GTA IV, 5 is much better the gameplay is improved, characters are great, action is over the top, if you played portal 2 and thought dialogue was funny the dialogue in GTA 5 is absolutely hilarious.
As far as negatives go essentially what I'm talking about in my thread just not enough incentives to continue playing(granted its 25-30 hours with 75% completion), and a few minor glitches, potentially the lock-on and shoot gameplay can get annoying when your aiming for a guy in a helicopter but you instead lock on to a cop on the ground. I assume you played 4 on Pc or your Ps360 gave out? |
Awesome. Thank you for your input
I played 4 on my ps3 - if it doesn't get a wii U release - i can play it on my 360 or ps3, so it aint no biggie

I turned off Just Cause 2 after I started the game. The grappling hook was fun for a little while then I got bored. I am thankful I am not a reviewer (yet) because I would've had to power my way through that game otherwise.
Don't they have collectibles? In Vice City you had a LOT. That kept me going for a while.

It's every game's problem. That's why Multiplayer exists, and I guess it would be one of the deadliest !
This happens with almost the 90% of the sandbox games.
Not a problem with me. Sleeping Dogs suffered from the same thing, but I can say that I loved beating it to the 100%. It was worth the price and the time.
