I want another 2D Metroid. It's been over a decade. :(

I don't own any Prime games and I would immediately throw my money at Nintendo if they released the trilogy on Wii U. :P

I really agree with you on this one, I don't feel like getting the trilogy on WII for now, and if nintendo made a HD trilogy I would buy it day 1.

I never even tried Metroid until fairly recently. A few years ago I picked up Zero Mission for GBA, and about six months later I got my hands on Fusion. Loved both. I've been waiting for the right time to really get into the rest of the games ever since. I could get the Prime games pretty easily and at a great price, but with the possibility of an HD re-release of trilogy, I'd rather wait and see while I struggle my way through Metroid II on 3DS Virtual Console.

I'm not getting my hopes up again. Not until there's some gameplay footage. Metroid Prime was the reason I got off my PC for an entire generation.

Remember fisrt inserting MP1 into the gamecube? That awesome Title screen? When Samus first appears on the space station? Nostalgia is kicking in..... going to fire up the old gamecube now:).
