Yes, a lot of these games could be done on the other systems with extra devices. But not for $299.99.

Read the whole OP people. Specifically the *** part. Maybe I should change the title to "Games only possible with the asymmetric TV-gamepad vision at the core of the Wii U experience and available on other less focused setups."

The topic is convoluted.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Actually, there's something that the Wii U can do that the other consoles clearly cannot. Some people are forgetting that the Wii U gamepad has more than a gyroscope and touch screen. It also has the infrared sensor on it.

Are you talking about the NFC thing? Has that been used?

I'm talking about the sensor bar at top.  You can use a wii mote on the gamepad.

Pikmin 3 supports this function. You can play Pikmin 3 on GamePad only, or using the GamePad as the screen and the Wii Remote & Nunchuk to control.

The question I'm asking is why no one wants to talk about how you CAN'T do that on other consoles.

Well the initial question was about GAMES, not features. So someone would have just said that the feature doesn't matter if no game uses it.

Nonetheless, I have named a game which uses this feature. I would say that Pikmin 3, with all of its features, is only possible on Wii U.

Well, I was thinking about the tech demos for Wii Sports when the Wii U was showed off.  The golfing thing.  I think that counts towards the topic, really.  Considering how people are thinking anything the Wii U can do, the other consoles can.

Remote play and gaikai are not the same thing.

Remote play is streaming directly from the PS4, usually locally without the internet. Gaikai is streaming from the cloud.

Show me a game where Vita is playing a game simultaneously as PS4 (or even PS3) in a manner which is the same as Wii U.

Show me COD where 2nd player in room is on Vita and other is playing on controller with no split screen.

Show me a FIFA where you can instantly in game draw your route on Vita and it happens in game.

Show me ANY game where you do something on Vita and its intregal to PS3 or even PS4 demos.

I have yet to see that or even a hint of it in demos or statements from MSony. Show me that then this thread has even a tiny amount of merit.

This entire thread is bullocks and what ifs just based on some generic remote play / play away from tv type system. I have yet to see anything that resembles Wii U.

Video of vita used as controller for lbp2 on ps3

Ah I forgot about that dlc. Ok so my original post was valid. Sony definitely can do a gamepad clone if that was possible on ps3. However I still know its not possible on xbone due to no specific portable game hardware.

The Last Story

Sony's Playstation Move can't replicate motions as well as Wii Motion Plus, I have both and the PS Move Wand is similar to the original Wii-mote.

Now you ask, Wii can play this, but Wii U adds functionality with the second screen. I could use the second screen to shoot arrows without changing what happens on the first screen.

You have a broken move my friend.

No, move is just weird. Flip your move remote sideways and see if the system recognized movements fluidly. It doesn't. For games like Killzone that's okay, but when I play No More Heros which has diagonal movements, move is just not as responsive as I expect it to be. It's less responsive then a Wii-Mote IMP.

So there you have it. The Last Story is not playable with the same functionality on Wii U as on any other console.

Plus....can you even have Move AND PSV plugged into PS3 at the same time?

Eh...

The tech in the PS Move + PS Eye is far superior to the original Wiimote and I'd say it's superior to the Wii Motion Plus as well, because of the light and camera with the gyrometers and all. It's just that the execution was often lacking.

Is the PSV gyrscopically synced with the PS3 when plugged in? i.e. do physical movements on the PSV track on the PS3 when using it in game? I don't think so, and that's essential to the upgrade in The Last Story.

Also I disagree with you about PS Move. When I play PS Move games I often feel that is has trouble mapping diagonal directions, and when you flip it upside down the system just gets confused. The tech in Wii Motion plus is better, it doesn't judge the Wiimote from 1 point like the PS Move, but 2, giving far more accuracy when measuring minute twists and turns. It's really annoying playing No More Heroes on PS3 because of this, but on Wii, it's just beautiful.

ZombieU was built from the ground up using the Gamepad. Splintell: Blacklist was also, and the others can't do what the Wii U version can do. And I don't want to hear about the Vita, it has already been said it won't work like the Wii U can.
