Forums - Nintendo - Will casuals return due to Wii Sports/Fit/Party?

Nintendo should do a Wii Sports Club bundle with a Wiimote minus the tablet controller. $199.99. That might shake things up. But no, it won't have the same impact as 5-6 years ago, a huge part of the appeal was that "off the couch/motion gaming" was something completely new and fresh back then.

The "wow" factor wears off after a few years and then it just becomes a normal gaming feature.

I think what they've done with Wii Sports/Fit/Party on the Wii U is smart though ... they know they can't get away with charging high prices for those games anymore, so $20 for Wii Fit U and a freemium model for Wii Sports Club are very smart. $49.99 for Wii Party U with a Wiimote is OK too.

Ya im not implying they will replicate their predeccessors sales but should be able to sell well and combined can push some console especially with the low price schemes.

I think they will release a retail version of Sports Club once all the games are out and maybe bundle it with a MotionPlus as well.

I see that so called 'hardcore' starts attacking new Wii Sports Club over the Internet immediately. It's a good sign for Nintendo.

Wii Sports club won't do much imo. Great addition and pricing though. Wii Sports U though might be a good idea..

Wii Party U and Wii Fit U will be interesting though. I honestly don't believe they'll have the same impact as Wii, maybe even half, but right now the Wii U needs something.

Wii Sports Club is Wii Sports U, they'll just grow it over time to have more sports, but lets be honest ... tennis and bowling are the most popular two by about a country mile, followed by golf.

Very true, they could easily add the Resort games and even some brand new ones down the road

Not sure.
Checking the sales of games like Just Dance 4, it´s clear that there´s still a casual audience on consoles, but it´s not as huge as it was years ago.
Maybe with proper marketing/advertsiment those games can sell well, but if Nintendo does what they did with Brain Age concentration training, then.... people wont even notice that those games exist and they will have dissapointing sales.
