But no, it won't have the same impact as 5-6 years ago, a huge part of the appeal was that "off the couch/motion gaming" was something completely new and fresh back then. I think what they've done with Wii Sports/Fit/Party on the Wii U is smart though ... they know they can't get away with charging high prices for those games anymore, so $20 for Wii Fit U and a freemium model for Wii Sports Club are very smart. $49.99 for Wii Party U with a Wiimote is OK too. |
Ya im not implying they will replicate their predeccessors sales but should be able to sell well and combined can push some console especially with the low price schemes.
I think they will release a retail version of Sports Club once all the games are out and maybe bundle it with a MotionPlus as well.
