Care to elaborate with any reason. Mine is price and the fact that there is 2 retail games at launch that are new series that cannot be experienced anywhere else. Xbox has 1(possibly 2 if KI 3 is retail....and fighters arent that big of a genre). Its a hard sell to the masses. Even the hardcore gamers I know are waiting a while for the system, I see nothing of interest in either system except the Division(which I will likely get on PC). Anectodal evidence, but so is internet hype. PS3 is still releasing top tier exclusives and both systems are still getting big releases. I dont care about PS4 having a million preorders, Wii U had the same, and its a bomb ATM.

The big difference is the type of users when compared to Wii-u. Many Nintendo buyers are Nintendo fans, e.g they buy the console for Nintendo games alone. While Sony/MS are more general core users, i.e many might buy a next gen console for AC or Battlefield or COD and not because of any general love for one or two exclusive games that Sony/MS will have out at launch.
I have ordered - Killzone, Battlefield, WatchDogs and Assassins creed... why because if i am going to spend £40 on a game, it needs to be better than what i can currently get on my current gen console. You'll be surprised by how many people are like that. Of course I love Sony exclusives and that helps, but I know people getting a PS4 just for Assassins Creed or Watch Dogs alone. So don't think its all about exclusives, they certainly help and a Uncharted/Halo will push fans of those games to buy a console.
At the moment you will have a big number going to next gen, because they want the next gen experience, you will have some who are fans of Killzone/Dead Rising.... we have Infamous (which has a good core of users) who will upgrade in Feb, we have Japan coming online. There is bound to be more games spread out, but 3rd parties will certainly play a bigger part for MS/Sony than it did for the wii-u. Nintendo still don't know how to handle 3rd parties and it's user base doesnt on the whole seem to support 3rd parties.
Do i expect the PS4 to outsell Wii-u's lifetime by sometime next year... definately. Is there a chance MS might take a little longer but will still pass it... yep.
It's going to be an interesting year indeed.
