68GB/s is what you get with quad-channel.
Each channel is 64bits... 4x64 = 256bits... you will need a 16-way channel to reach 1024bits that means 32 or 64 DDR3 modules... 16-18-layer (?) PCB.
In PC only Intels Sandy Bridge-E runs at quad-channel... the max bandwidth is 51.2GB/s (without overclock)... MS quad-channel is already ahead what we have in PC.
