Not sure if this has been reported on yet but the sales have gone up a TON!

OP: "Two Tribes, the development team behind Toki Tori, has announced via Twitter that sales of the game have risen by an impressive 8027% following the new Toki Tori 2+ update and the eShop sale. The game has received a huge sales spike after releasing the big update for the game and discounting the game’s price. You can view the changes that the new update brings in the video above."

 

I have no idea what that actually translates to but still that's an insane increase in %.

Heard someone say that too but I read it averages (and again this is something I READ on the INTERNET so I'm not 100% it's true) that it sells average of 5,000 a week in Japan. So it could very well be a significant amount if multiplied.

Actually developer feedback has been very positive regarding eShop sales for both the Wii U and 3DS so far.

and 8027% of 1 is still 8,027. Not bad for a game from 5 months ago.

And since the price got a great cut (50%), its seems that pay off. They should try this more.

i'm one of those in the percentage. I didn't get it because of the update, but because it was on sale. It just happen to work out that the update was available as well . Actually I just picked up 3 games last night, Toki Tori 2, mutant mudds (also on sale) and giana twisted sisters.
