How on earth did you get that from his post? He's said a multiplat dev knows more about the power differences between the two consoles than a first party dev who has never worked on one of the consoles. Your analogy is terrible lol.

No actually according to him and using your scenario, Valve would understand the PS4/Xbox One power comparison and differences better than Naughty Dog.  because 1st party studios have little to no experience with competitor machines.

I'm sorry but what? Unless right here you admit you were a dork with our Forza discussion a while ago, you are the biggest hypocrite out there.

The only thing I got from this article is that people should leave the speculating about hardware and their difference to people who actually know what they are talking about. He never claims that he knows what those differences are if there is any. So everyone attacking him talking about 3rd party developers would know more, while correct, isnt the point of the article. He isnt comparing the PS4 to the Xbox One, he is just saying STFU unless you know what you are talking about and have knowledge on the situation.

Which lets face it, the vast majority of forum posters don't know a damn thing about it.

What astonishes me about this whole debate is that Xbox fans like to downplay actual facts, like confirmed specs, and instead jump on any PR slogan and/or rumors from ANY source, just to latch onto a shred of hope that their console won't underperform against the competition. The cloud (which this guy bringing up, again), barely upclocked CPUs/GPUs, dGPU, their SW engineers are better than Sony, and God knows what next.

It's time to face it guys, the PS4 is more powerful than the One. The systems are built near identical, so it's very easy to compare them this time. Only real difference is that one has much faster RAM and a better GPU, one that pumps out an extra ~500 Gflops (more than 2x what the Wii U is estimated to be capable of). That's no small difference and is larger than the gap between PS3/360. A difference that will become even clearer as developers get a handle on both machines.

Having said that, why should you even care? You have no interest in getting a PS4 and are getting the One for its exclusives, which is totally fine, so just accept it an move on. Instead, we get a bunch of people (I guess) trying to justify their purchase and just spreading FUD about how the differences will barely be noticeable. Don't get me wrong, this will probably be true for multiplats, but it's a totally different story for exclusives.

I know that many Sony fans get giddy over this, but you can´t compare flops between different GPU families and architectures.

naught dog certainly doesn't know shit about the power of the 360.   ..so if you actaully read my post then i absolutely have to agree -- valve is far more knowledgeable about the power comparsions between the ps3 and 360..

Haven't they been getting questioned about it though? If their getting questioned about it they should answer if they feel like it. Also its not like the person who said specs don't matter represents how everyone at microsoft feels.
