I seem to remember them making a similar version of this video when they were announcing PS4 (or maybe it was E3) that was even more cringe worthy than this.

Perhaps my love for Japanese culture is clouding the cheesiness of this video for me.

This was soooooo much better than the American version. Music playing over it without very little to no dialogue prevents nearly all cringe moments.

Actually, a bunch of us got together at E3.  There may have been some teeth gritting, but mostly it was cool.  We went around and talked about what most excited us.  I have a picture I need to post somewhere.

I have a question - Are the names in Roman and Japanese alphabet?  Is that normal in Japan or was that done for a wide appeal mixed western audience?

AFAIK, it's done that way because names can use all sorts of characters to spells names. It's how meaning can be derived from the name, by using different types of characters.

I could be way off here. I don't know a lot about writing Japanese.

Don't know bout you guys but during our college that's pretty much what you'll see specially in the cafeteria. Sometimes each table actually has a specific handheld with a group of people playing diff games or doing multiplayer/online. One table could be filled with sony handhelds(vita/psp) and the other full of nintendo handhelds. And pretty much when we go over our friends house tha)'s also what we do, and with the psvita TV and ps4 coming soon that's prolly be exactly whats gonna happen(except replace Killzone with Tekken, smash bros or other multiplayer games) and we ain't even in Japan. We live in the Philippines, so what more in Japan.
