japan will belong to nintendo this holiday

I was expecting this...

Would have been cool if we had a worldwide release this year, but then I realized the launch lineup doesn't really have anything Japan would want.

Well Microsoft in no real threat in Japan, so that was the region Sony could afford to have a delayed release.

Europe and the US were the priority zones, so it was imperative that Microsoft would not have the advantage there again.

Its only a few months, nothing really major.

Late ass, I'm dissapointed. Still if they couldn't get all those announced games on launch 2013, it's better to launch later but with any Japanese centric games to start with.

Second tier country. Also very dissapointed in sony, and third parties... I miss the old days with so many JRPG's... Lucky I have IOS..

1% down in stocks after announcement now going up again so I guess mixed?  

- Must be awkward to know that a console who is made few 1.000 km's from your country will not be shipped  to yours;.while it will be shipped to smaller markets who are 10-20.000 from where it made... 

If a 3 months delay in Japan ensures more units for the European and North American markets, so be it.

Those are the markets that matter the most for Sony. It was really stupid from Sony to release PS3 in Japan before Europe in 2006/2007.

I think this is a good idea. With the Vita TV launching there, I think it gives them time to establish the vita more there.

And games like Killzone, don't really appeal over their. It also reduces the possible shortages in NA and EU.

Although understandable it is clear that origins don't matter in the world of money. My guess is there will be some angry gamers in Japan, who will eventually just buy the system.
