Forums - Sales - Worldwide Wii stocks discussion

In switzerland, wii has been available since february I think, but there always were just a few in the stores when I checked. I haven't been in stores for a while now, but the (in my opinion) best and probably best-known online retailer has no wiis in stock at the moment, so you can say wii is still selling very strong here.

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)

Well, I finally found one yesterday (5/5) at GameStop (Northern Virginia), didn't expect to but they had one left.  It's the first time I've ever seen them available for sale so of course I grabbed it.  I've yet to see any in Target, Best Buy, EB, other GameStop stores, Toys R Us, Circuit City, etc.  So one available on a Saturday, maybe they are getting slightly easier to come across, or maybe I just got lucky!

I just went to 5 stores here in France 2 of them had a few of them but I was told these will sell in 24hours ! Moreover XBOX360 doesn't sell very well and while the PS3 is very popular (everybody wants one here) no buys it because of the price. If only Sony had launch a system which cost 300euros or less their succes would have far superior than that of the Wii. I just feel that people byu Wii cause it's affordable...

www.amazon.fr has it in stock now (french version of amazon) it really shows Nintendo is ramping up Wii production.

The local EBGames in MA here apparently got 27 Wii's in the past week that all went almost instantly. Until then they'd only been getting 3-4 per week, so that was quite the boost for them.

3 days ago, sister of my girl has just bought a Wii, the last wii on the shelve, (Toys'r'us store, near Paris). It was a "Sonic-wii" pack (290 euros)...

She said to me that she tried 6 or 7 retailers before (micromania, score games...)... And she found its wii although she saw an other family searching a wii in the toys'r'us that was here before her : you can imagine that the other family was very angry...

For me, the family that I was talking just bought a wii because of the wiimote and wiiplay (and certainly because of its price. She's also planning to buy a........  X360 (maybe because she has already an XBOX 1)

once again, wii is not available anymore in amazon.fr, since this morning...

It was the same during April : wii available for 2 or 3 days then not available anymore until next shippment ("usually shipped within 1 or 2 months") ...

Wow why isn't all of this happening in Australia, they were sold out consistently here for about a month to month and a half tops, however now there are masses in my local Kmart, EB, Target, GAME, JB Hifi, I wish it were more successful here however all of Australia and New Zealand is considered Sony territory.
