1) its a male dominated industry in both creation and consumption.
2) this completely unrealistic use of a sexy character is simply stupid. There is no way this would ever exist in real life. Not that there wouldn't be a hot rebel/fighter, but there is no way she'd be wearing gear with that clothing.. or lack thereof.

Its just stupid and childish. I don't need naked porn women in my games. I have internet for that. That is over the top sexism.

People dont complain about men because unlike women they are not associated with their body as much. A woman is associated with beauty and measuered by that in many situations. It has been like this forever.

Of course women find men attractive but it is much more common for a guy to only judge a woman purely from sex.

What's to be sorry about? You said her design makes sense and I say it doesn't. I see no real good legitimate reason to oversexualize an AI, especially when she has become even more sexualized after 343 took over.

I have no issue though with either design. One is an overly sexualized AI which makes zero sense while the other is a female who is obviously trying to work on her tan while shooting stuff and trying to keep herself alive.
