downloading the vid in high quality is definitely worth it.
but i have to say the popin of objects on the track disturbs me. i hope this issue will be gone when it releases.

Am I the only one who thinks that when racing in a racing game, if you are looking at the trees and the crowds whilst driving, you are doing it wrong?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Looks way better than I was expecting. Never really been much of a fan of Evolution as their WRC games were a bit bland and then Motorstorm just didn't hand right for me.

The handling on here looks pretty spot on though and that's always the most important part of a racer. Nice and drifty but with enough control to make it less simulation. Might be those transferred staff from Liverpool etc having their influence :D

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Just for the fuck off it.

There was no complaint, I was simply wondering why they were unable to hit the 60 frames per second mark they say they are aiming for.

Yes, it was mostly design decision before. Because of hardware limitations. Now that should be gone. Hence, next gen element.

I have spent enough time talking about this game, toodles.

Unable to hit 60fps because unlike some other racers it has tons of things going on. Things like weather, dynamic lightning, day/night, etc...

I would say those are more of next gen stuff than just bumping up frame rate, shining up the graphics and leaving the rest alone.

If your big beef has to do next gen elements then you are criticizing the wrong racing game as there are much more prominant ones you should be beefing with.

when will people realize that both is probably only a decision of preference of turn 10 and evolution? weather effects aren't more next gen as more frames and more physics calculations on the car ( i had rain already in my f1 game for n64 and forza horizon has dynamic lighting). more frames per second isn't more next gen as other great stuff because i already have 60fps in racing games this gen... forza could easily have the driveclub stuff and driveclub could easily have 60fps. they both did only have to go another way in the development cycle.

the whole package will decide which is a bigger graphical powerhouse but nothing of the mentioned stuff is something which tells us if the game is more next gen as the other game as long as it means that other stuff will be so much worse that the whole package is less impressive.

right now i don't really see how any of both games is so much better as the other game from a technical perspective. both will outshine the other game in different sections.

probably also a reason why we didn't see many gaming sites telling us that driveclub nor forza are so impressive compared to the other racing games. at least not how they look right now as alpha/beta versions.

but a ps4 racing game with the budget forza probably has should have easily an advantage.

Your post holds a lot of truth. I see no reason to argue with what you said.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Downloaded the video's from gamersnyde and it looks like the game is shaping up pretty nicely.

Though, the image quality could be improved - aliasing is pretty bad atm, also quite a bit of pop-ins. On the plus side, it's considerably better than the build they had at E3. And the game looks likes pretty fun to play!

i read that their newest build has better anti-aliasing and they said that they will show recent stuff before the release. maybe already at tgs or something like eurogamer expo.
