Forums - Nintendo - Add Wii And Wii U weekly sales together and it is actually not that badTake

Actually, despite everyone bashing the OP, this is a very relevant point. Nintendo is very significant in the home console space. Also, like the DS and 3DS, Wii steals sales from Wii U but as it dies those sales can potentially morph into Wii U sales. Potentially.

Has Wii hit 100 million yet?

yea it was confirmed a while ago.

add the wii u + 3ds and you'll notice the wii U is doing actually very good

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

50k is still pretty awful.  The PS3 has only had one week that was lower, and that was before it launched in Europe.  The 360 doesn't seem to have ever fallen that low.  Toss PS2 sales ontop of those PS3 sales and it isn't even close.

Even with half the consoles (that VGC tracks at least), Nintendo makes up less than 20% of the home console market.  Very significant might be overplaying it a bit, at least for this moment in time.

Also the Wii has been declining all year without a corresponding rise in Wii U sales.  Both combined are also less than Wii sales for 2012 at the same point in time.

its funny cuz 50k is still awful lol

We used to have topics about just how much the Wii was outselling the PS3 and 360 combined.

This reminds me of the good ol' days.

The Nintendo Family is strong.

Well at least Wii U is now consistently starting to outsell the Wii, that is a start.

I wouldn't expect a sales spike til the price drop goes through. I really don't see many gamers buying Wii U atm when a price drop and a new bundle are only weeks away

Also Sony did that when PS3 was selling poorly. They combined PS2 and PS3 sales and from the looks of it are doing that with Vita too.
The last thing I want is for Nintendo to take a book from Sony and mislead people.

50'000 strong, to be exact.

This is just sad, really. Are you trying to put us down, Ryan? Huh? Are you?!
