I think Retro will make the better game, regardless of what Nintendo wants...

But they don't seem to be taking risks on that game tho. Sure all we seen was a trailer and footages from a demo, but nothing in this trailer showed some new ground breaking mechanic. It seem to be all of the same. Jump on enemies...Collect Bannanas... Throw barrels... Some cart levels. Retro needs to be taking risks and give us something really new in order to beat Rayman Legends. So far the only ''new'' thing that have been described to us by Nintendo are ''The toke time to make the fur really realistic'', ''the enemies are now penguins and walruses Vikings'' and ''the game is more 3D like and less 2D sidscrolling when you are inside barrels''. This is laughable. Who cares if enemies are penguins, crocodiles, robots or zombies if what you do to them remains the exact same thing?

They actually have added a new mechanic, based on US Super Mario Bros. 2. You can pick enemies up and throw them at other enemies. This adds a new way to interact with the environment as well, pulling vines out of the ground and the like. They also added two new playable characters who control differently from the existing characters, meaning Tropical Freeze has four different playable characters with distinct abilities that DO affect the gameplay and level design, unlike in Rayman where the characters are identical except in appearance.

I'm sure Donkey Kong will sell more, but I'm much more interested in Rayman Legends.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

DKTF

I know it will be much more challenging than Rayman Legends and It wont include gimmicky controls of DKCR (hopefully) which was the games only fault.

It does support the Wiimote and Nunchuk controls of DKCR, (which I for one loved) but it will also support the Gamepad, of course, so it's not compulsory.

Wiimote and nunchuk? I thought DKCR only supported Wiimote

Around the Network

both seems great!
i vote rayman legends for multiplayer and DKCTF for single player.

Good to see amazing 2D plataformers. Seems like snes era! and indies are helping a lot!

I had trouble finishing DKCR - threw my controller on the couch on a couple of occasions. I fear it will be the same with DKTF. Personally - legends will be more enjoyable. Sales wise it is no contest who will win

It supports both.

Rayman Legends will be the critical darling.

Donkey Kong Country: TF will sell much, much more.

The funny part is Legends will drive the install base up for Wii U which will, in fact, make Tropical Freeze probably sell more copies... So this is kind of unfair.
