And yes, this is payback for your previous comments.

Come on, Alpha, you're a better poster than this.

Aren't those FFXIV sales below the Dragon Quest X Wii sales... which was embarrassing according to some members..

Silence, fool.  Only Nintendo is allowed to be berated for such a sales dichotomy.

Yes, the situation and expectations for these two games are entirely similar.

I expected FF to do 100k+, but not almost 200k+! :O
Is there no PC version in Japan, or...?

@AlphaCielago: "Payback" comments don't help at all.

Vita low, WiiU low. JoJo 400k+ as I expected. PS3 sees a reasonable boost. Wonder if it FF or JoJo pushed it more.

There's a PC version in Japan and there's over a dozen JP servers.

PS3 version of FF14 outsold FF11 PS2 lifetime in one week.

It was delusional to expect DQX be a sales success after it was announced as an MMO.

Now to get back to the real thing. The thing actually sold somewhat, even if it's horrible. The biggest surprise of this week though, is FFXIV. I really did not expect 150k+ for it. Jojo is being Jojo, so no comment on that.
Youkai Watch is still surprising me, doing sub 10k/week is quite good.
The taboo is still doing taboo stuff, so no need to comment more on that. I must say that Level 5 is doing quite good on 3DS, even though it's not DS levels of success.
Vita has 3 titles in the top 20, so that's nice for it, while Luigi U returned and has sold over 70k.

I don't think it's sales were enough to say the game bombed, but its complete lack of staying power and incredibly low number of active players is what sealed it.

do you know i am an expert at spelling your name now? Anyways, I always felt that DQX did rather well. I was happy with the sales. They are still making money monthly off paid subscribers or whatever it is called. Cannot wait for it to hopefully come to the states. Wii version of course.

Yeah, I also thought it did reasonably well, despite underperforming a little bit IMO. I was just calling out he had unreasonable expectations (or rather, had them in order to downplay the game).

Yeah...because we all know that people that love RPG's convert 1:1  to loving MMO's.

In fact, name me 1 single console MMO that has sold in the same league as the best selling console RPG's.

I never said this (in fact, I said that its sales weren't enough to say it bombed).

The lack of  PC version definitely hurt DQ10 imo, mostly for its viability in Western markets.
