I didn't get the pass to Bo2, hit 8th prestige in Feb haven't played it much since.

Bought the Elite premium back on mw3 which flopped hard imo.

Doubt I will get season ticket to Ghosts..unless the next gen version is really good.. been playing cod since 2005... has gotten duller and duller ever since w@w.

I paid $50 for Elite Premium when MW3 came out. I think that was the same thing as season pass because it started out as a yearly subscription. I don't know how you got it for $20. MW3 didn't come with just map packs either. A new mode, new survival maps, more spec ops missions and the like all came with the season pass so yeah. I hardly play any other game and CoD is just fun as hell so I will defo be picking this up along with the season pass.

While the OG quote may be a little harsh there is some logic to it. The more important question is why do they like it? If it is because of "hype" then yes IQ / intelligence should come into question... Being easily manipulated by the media and being a "blind consumer" does not neccessarily directly reflect IQ, but I would wager that a majority is a result of "blind consumerism" (bought without a thought due to media)... Now I have bought the season pass for BOPS I and II, but only because I really like zombies (i am zombie fanatic) so I would have bought them seperately and spent extra for it. I don't feel this last season pass has been worth the price though (play time / fun for me / interest) as such I am unlikely to buy another TREYARCH COD... I won't ever buy a IW COD again (since MW2, traded in after 1 month) 

All in all if you actually think about whether or not the purchase is of actual value of you before purchasing (disregarding monetary concerns, and final decision) then yes your IQ is probably a bit higher than the average COD consumer.

Season pass has always been $50 and gives you a $10 discount on the 4 map packs since they cost $60 in total.

The hardened edition for MW3 was a special limited edition of the game that cost $100 and included the season pass. So if you managed to get your hands on the MW3 hardened edition, you essentially got the season pass for $40 as a special deal.

They didn't do the same deal for the hardened edition for any other COD. It was only a MW3 thing. I don't know if they'll repeat it with Ghosts or not.

One's personal preference doesn't necessarily have a whole lot to do with one's IQ, so we agree/disagree there a bit. The presence of prefence has no influence on how you learn/attain knowledge. Liking CoD or being hyped for CoD isn't going to drop my math skills. I don't see the connection between preference and IQ. There are over 30 million unique CoD players, I'm sure of those, plenty of them are genius', wealthy people (Kobe anyone?), successful happy people. You name it and CoD or any other $60 game will reach out to someone who wants to play it and/or try something new.

As far as blind consumerism goes, we all fall into it. The market would be flat if it wasn't for people buying into something they may or may not like, no matter how expensive. Whether it be a 5 cent candy you've never tried or a $60 game, if your friends are taking part in something and you want to be a part of it - hence-forth falling under the column of blind consumerism - then go for it. I'm as blind as a bat.

The fact is, I know what I like and I like CoD's formula, I think it will be worth it to buy that $50 season pass as well.

I have to agree with you on MW3. I bought the first two map packs and they were awful but I've enjoyed the Black Ops 2 map packs very much. 

I think you should be glad that you are in the 1%. $50 ain't very much.

B2: IQ and math skills is a weird way to word what you meant to say and your point as IQ doesn't really affect that as much as it references your ability to learn / attain new knowledge at 'x' speed... IQ doesn't mean how "smart" someone is but rather how quickly they can learn or how well then can retain knowledge quickly. (or at least that is my possibly flawed understanding) My IQ puts me in the top 20% (+- 15<) of global population (1998), but that doesn't mean I am smarter than anyone by any means at all. 

B3: (opinion) market has fallen flat I think due to over consumption of the COD franchise and companies putting to much money into game studios rather than advertising... It's not neccessarily that COD is a great game that makes it successful, but rather the great PR and advertising the game has had this gen that makes it successful. However, if less people bought COD and spread the same cash flow around to different games the industry overall would be doing much better. So NO blind consurism does not help the industry, but there is only so much that can be done in that regard.

B4: After writing all of this and remembering what I bolded... thist statement was the one that made me question your IQ/intelligence because it has no real qualifiers... FUN is qualifier enough, but saying "formula" indicating a higher intelligence than the average 12 year old playing the game and not stating what you like about the formula is giving me blue ballz :-/ 

COD formula is good for easy causal online fun... accuracy as a war game not at all... so if you see yourself being able to enjoy cheaply produced DLC that really only add the bare minimum of addition to online play for almost the same amount as the cost of the orignal game by all means buy it! However, please note you are only adding to the problems that haven't truly been addressed for consumer rights and concerns, there with to are part of the problem.
