once the xbox one gets a price cut sony will follow suit and lower the price of the ps4, microsoft has never recoverd from any bad press, the first xbox power cords fire problems, price reduction after just 1 month on sale, short support life in japan after just 3 years support stopped, 360 rrod, having to use microsoft branded HDD's rather than letting you use any 2.5" laptop drive costing a lot less, DVD drive scratching disks making the games/DVD's un readable, these are just a few examples of the bad press microsoft has been unable to sweep under the carpet, there are issues with other companies but none are as bad as microsofts, the DRM will haunt microsoft for a long time to come and no one will forget that in a hurry.
Current PC build:
Asus Z97I-Plus, i5 4790K @ 4.6ghz, EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0 1377/1853/124%, Corsair Vengence Pro 2400mhz 2x 8192mb, Corsair RM850, Corsair H80i, 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, 750GB Seagate Momentus XT SSHD, 320GB Weston Digital HDD, Corsair 230T, Corsair K50 Raptor, HP XQ500AA mouse, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. iiyama Pro Lite G2773HS 120Hz 1Ms G2G gaming monitor.

132 millions
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
microsoft is recovering from bad press but no doubt drm will always stay with them but if they support console with games I am sure xbox will outsell ps4. Ya but bad press has always stayed with microsoft. you are right

so far to date no microsoft console has out sold any other console from the other manufactures (within the past generation, not including the Wii U), im not sure what you are getting at but this thread is about life time sales of the ps4 not about if and thats a really big if the xbox one out sells the ps4, DRM and kinect always on are still issues millions of gamers have with the xbox one add the fact microsoft still wont budge on the ability to use any 2.5" laptop drive and the cost of the console is $100 more than the ps4.
when microsoft launched the 360 in november 2005 they had a full years head start over the ps3 in NA and a full 18 months head start in Europe, this time both consoles are launching in the same month across the world, just look at current world sales for both the 360 and ps3, 12-18 months without any competition granted an early lead but towards the start of the next gen that early lead looks kind of pointless as it was still out sold, by the end of this gen the ps3 will no doubt have sold over 100 million consoles and the last game to be released for the ps3 will be in 2018 as the last game to be released for the ps2 was fifa 14, that's how to support a console long after it's been succedded by the next gen.

2DS & 3DS 140 million
Wii U 95 million
Xbox One 80 million
Playstation 4 75 million
Vita 25 million
The Xbox One will win out the Playstation 4 when Microsoft is done waving it's money around. The exclusives will be the driver, and Microsoft with a billion pledge is going to kick a$$. When people start to see five Microsoft exclusives to one Sony exclusive, that's when sales will brake apart. The 3DS will be the 3DS, and the Wii U is going to pick up sales crazy starting this holiday season and E3. Zelda U announcement is going to set the console on fire, if X by Monolith Soft doesn't do it first.

I think microsoft is sony of 2005. There start will not be epic but better than xbox 360 and this time I think there are going to be less hardware problems and if microsoft keeps on releasing exclusive games like they are doing now I am sure they can win this generation but they need to support there console with exclusives and gamers earn enough to buy a xbox one. We all know sony ps3 was expensive still outsold xbox 360 in launch week . In short run ps4 will win and in long run xbox one will outsell ps4 without doubt but atlast they need to keep on releasing games. I am sure xbox one is going to be more profitable than ps4. Microsoft has definetely learned from there mistakes and they have potential to win next gen if they throw there money on xbox games.

you still dont get it do you, the 3do cost more than the PSX, it did not go on to out sell the PSX, dont go by the assumption that because the PS3 is doing well now is down to a high price point to begin with , its not, look what happened to the original xbox!
Sony has been releasing its own fair share of exclusive titles and will continue to do so with the next generation, you talk like only microsoft has exclusives and has learnt from their mistakes which they certainly haven't.
this thread is about the life time sales prediction for the PS4 not the XB1 or Wii-U or who you think will out sell who, either stay on topic or start your own thread.

It's impossible to guess. There are at least 3 new companies that are going to make serious plays for the living room within the next year. We have no idea what the market is going to look like.
