so far to date no microsoft console has out sold any other console from the other manufactures (within the past generation, not including the Wii U), im not sure what you are getting at but this thread is about life time sales of the ps4 not about if and thats a really big if the xbox one out sells the ps4, DRM and kinect always on are still issues millions of gamers have with the xbox one add the fact microsoft still wont budge on the ability to use any 2.5" laptop drive and the cost of the console is $100 more than the ps4.
when microsoft launched the 360 in november 2005 they had a full years head start over the ps3 in NA and a full 18 months head start in Europe, this time both consoles are launching in the same month across the world, just look at current world sales for both the 360 and ps3, 12-18 months without any competition granted an early lead but towards the start of the next gen that early lead looks kind of pointless as it was still out sold, by the end of this gen the ps3 will no doubt have sold over 100 million consoles and the last game to be released for the ps3 will be in 2018 as the last game to be released for the ps2 was fifa 14, that's how to support a console long after it's been succedded by the next gen.
