TruckOSaurus said: The negative comments from the usual suspects are bad enough but now we've got preemptive comments like "This is good news for [company], I'm sure [user or opposing fanbase] will come over here and bash it". These comments do nothing but feed the fire. Don't anticipate negative comments, let them come (they always do) and if they're unreasonable report them. |
honest to god,. i'd rather read straight up troll posts than these self-martyred cry sessions about how everyone else is the bigger troll..
..so annoying.

It is annoying to see. However, when your company or system is put down all the time it might be hard for some to refrain from posting something like that. Wii U was constantly put down (mainly starting around Jan/Feb going heavy till E3 or so). Microsoft kind of took that hate away and focused it on themselves with their terrible policies announced. For awhile it seemed like there wasn't any positive Wii U threads or news (granted that the outlook wasn't that great at the time but there was little call for wait and see what the holiday lineup would be, it was written off as dead by many game journalist) and then there seemed to be endless days of negative Microsoft articles. One can only take so much negative (hell I about gave up on gaming sites around March or May). I believe Sony should get as much doom focus as the other companies. It would be only fair right?

and they have. you just choose to ignore vita threads and sony bankruptcy threads and indie-station threads and the psn hack threads and what ever else is and was out there. that's the most annoying part of the self-maytr post is everything is getting trolled you just don't react to all trollings the same. you're more sensitive to certain topics and that skews perspective.
seriously, you can't complain about wiiU and ignore vita because they get the exact same treatment. same. SAAAAMMEEEE.
