Forums - Sony - Gaikai on PS4: EU launch uncertain due to broadband issues

This is a joke right??? Please tell me it's a joke that they can't just release Gaikai in the countries in EU(many of them) that has a good internet speed.
I mean seriously I have a 250mbit/s line which I pay 30 freaking bucks for surely I should get the service when an american with ana average of 5mbit/s already has it.
I am so sick of EU beig classed as Number 2 it's kinda irritating Sony!

Ohh and btw I live in the third largest city in Sweden which which probably can be reached by any server in the world

Europe Tier 2 for Gaikai confirmed ;)

I remember trying Gaikai 2 years ago on my PC, here in Poland. I never had lag issues with this service.

16 mbit connection

I wonder why there are problems now when the same technology worked flawlessly before.

Because there is a difference in trying something out and delivering a service to potential millions of customers and to assure the service is available all the time, can cope with all people being online and expecting high demands.

I hope this doesn't turn into a TVii scenario in Europe. I mean, that still hasn't launched here!

Yeah, this is really annoying. I Google this every other week hoping it has turned up in the UK. I'm hoping Sony will have it more together (but it's not looking great right now).

PSN: Osc89

i guess australia is doomed

200 mb or 500mb is pretty common in Sweden now

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

But vgcharterz said to me that everybody in Europe can be always online

Dont see a proble here. Im concerned that gaming forum posters dont want progress until everyone on the planet can join it at the same time. Some consumers cant get stuff, thats just how it is.

It was always slightly odd that some people slammed ms for always online for the reason of lack of decent global internet whilst those very same people were saying how awesome Gaikai would be.

This was inevitable. It doesnt matter, people that can get it will enjoy it, those that cant.... cant.

Such is lfe.

I'm consistent.

Launching a console that requires you to be online at all times or it shuts off in an hour vs launching a service that requires a good internet connection to work is not the same thing.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Having internet access and being able to use Gaikai are two totally different things. I am sad that you play this card.
