Forums - Sony - Sony Details Gaikai Plans

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2013/08/30/sony-detail-gaikai-plans-launching-next-year-in-us-coming-to-ps3-too/

PS4 will be able to play PS3 games in 2014, this is a big feature IMO, the x1 does not have, so another big advanatge for PS4, especially for those who skipped the PS3.

“The plan is to provide a streaming service that will allow for PS3 content initially to be streamed to firstly PS4 then PS Vita and then PS3.”

Appears the Vita will be able to stream PS3 games as well? Another plus for the Vita!

Cell-based servers are cheap, so they are not taking a big risk.

That said, only US plus cloud gaming bandwith problems will not make it really effective before 2015/16

I know Gaikai is awesome, but a lot of people can't use it yet. Of course it's amazing now, but imagine in a few years when twice or more people will be able to use it =D

is this Free?

holy fuck if that really happens lol

Walsufnir will be happy for that news.

Good to hear about the roadmap, they did not say much after the february reveal and I was concerned there are some delays.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Free streaming? I'd put my money down on "no". However, some of it will probably be free if you have Plus

So, not free at all
