Forums - Gaming - Sony signs 21 publishers/developers for exclusive PlayStation content

^ I was going to put Agent in there but meh.. it's been vapourware for such a long time. You're right about GTA V though, that was just a stab in the dark heh.

That reminds me, isn't there like a exclusive bundle for the the game and headset for PS3. It probably that.

Hmm, my take on this..

Activision Blizzard – Diablo 3 content - Some ring or something iirc from E3
Atlus - Persona 5, most likely
Bethesda Games – The Elder Scrolls Online exclusive PlayStation 4 beta
Bluepoint Games – HD remake of a PS2 classic. SOCOM?
Bungie – Destiny content
Capcom – Deep Down
Disney Interactive - Credited in Kingdom Hearts games, so KH 1.5. Castle of Illusion PS3 preorder incentive.
EA - FIFA content? Not sure about this they seem to be in bed with MS so could be anything
Insomniac Games - Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus
Konami - Castlevania: LOS 2 or MGS V exclusive content
Level-5 - Confirmed to be working on some MMORPG for PS4
Nordic Games - Not a clue
Rockstar Games - GTA V content?
Sanzaru Games - Sly Cooper: Master Of Thieves
Sega - Yakuza Ishin (PS4), Again.. Sega in collaboration with Disney for Castle of Illusion
Square Enix - Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, FFX I FFX II HD Remaster and FFXIV
Sumo Digital - No idea
Take-Two - Borderlands 2 (PSVita)
Ubisoft – Assassin’s Creed I4: Black Flag content, Watch Dogs content
Warner Bros. – Batman: Arkham Origins content
Zindagi Games - I got nothing

Sumo Digital mostly worked on PSP ports of racing games and the cross-controller pack for LBP2.. might be some LBP content or LBP3 as somebody said before

Zindagi Games made the Sport Champions games, so I expect another one of those

and Nordic Games, well they are mostly known for PC games that are quite popular locally (here in Germany), but other then that they very recently aquired some of THQs ips, like Darksiders, Red Fraction and Titan Quest as well as Painkiller from Dreamcatcher, so one of these might have been licensed to Sony (they didn't seem to be eager to develop sequels themselves but rather to make those IPs available to other publishers/devs for a fee)

Sanzaru Games aren't a publisher.

Wrong. With self publishing, anyone can be a publisher.

Now ban yourself for being so wrong, Kreswrong.

Oh snap Kresnik!  Badgenome just bitch slapped you in the face.  What kind of slap?  A bitch slap.  Whatcha gonna do about it brother?

More importantly, this is adding value for Playstation fans. How is that not a good thing? As gamers, what do we get from exclusivity? Some of us get nothing beyond what we would have gotten in the first place, while others have to wait for a year or don't get a particular game at all. That kind of sucks. By negotiating for additional content, Sony is basically giving us a reward.

It is if the content wouldn't have existed at all or would have been extra paid DLC but is now being made available for free. It's not if it's something that would have been available on all systems anyway but Sony just negotiated it into going away on those other platforms.

Why do they keep doing this crap. You get COD DLC early, we get some hacking thing in Watchdogs...blah. Compete on the streth of first party software and let 3rd party games run content parity.

Also EA is on the list. *facepalm*

Didn't know much about those guys, thanks for that.

Really interested to see what Nordic Games is working on. They have some solid IP's under their belt. Some of which remember fondly on PC like; Painkiller, Spellforce and Titan Quest. They even own the Summoner IP! Ah ma gad.

They do that because some gamers are dumb enough to care about "exclusive content" that sometimes is just a diferent outfit or other minor thing. The core game won't be affected.

And about exclusivity I agree with majority thinks here. If it is a game that wouldn´t exist without the moneyhat or even in some cases the company outsource an idea of a new ip (like 2nd partie) them it's a great pratice. If it's just used to take away from other plataform is ridiculous and most times waste. If a game that were exclusive becomes multi then incompetence from one side and great for gamers of other platform. Now when a game were exclusive to one platform and then the sequel become exclusive to another platform is disgusting and if it's in the same generation it become outrageous.
