Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One CPU Clocks In At ~1.9GHz

yes and i said "how doesn't it"

lol oops, guess I can reel back in my snarky-ness.

The grand point of it all is unchanged. PS4 is still more powerful in every manner. Additionally, games FAR more defined by what the GPU can do than by the CPU. So even if this 1.9GHz is semi-accurate (pun intended), it won't make a bit of difference in the potential differences in games between PS4 and Xbone.

Facts are PS4 can very well have games that look / run better than Xbone regardless if Xbone's CPU is 1.6GHz or 1.9GHz.

This entire thread is pointless in the grand scheme of things. Especially considering its someone's best guess based on a report of other information.

i editided both of my previous posts while you quote me^^

sure it is not much but still, if we forget once the whole xbox vs. playstation stuff and only think about people who buy an xbox one it can change something for them. maybe not much but a cpu with 1.9ghz instead of 1.6 can help developers and if it's only a little bit.

nobody will jump from ps4 to xbox one because of that but those who plan to buy an xbox one should be happy about it if true.

From a sole Xbone1.6 to Xbone1.9 comparison... sure there is a technical difference, however, without seeing how it runs and 1.6 I have no justification to say its any meaningful difference at 1.9.

idk... guess to me its just such a minor thing especially when knowing all three new consoles put FAR more focus into GPUs for gaming than CPUs.

We need Pemalite in here.

Credentials doesn't mean anything. He is claiming the website is wrong and lets not forget that the website has just the same credentials is not more. So what makes him right and semi accurate wrong?? All he did was put a bunch of words and numbers down that no one understands and put them up against a website who posted a bunch of words and numbers no one understands and he is trying to say he is right and they are wrong.

Mostly what I see is a bunch of people who sort of understand this stuff who can't figure out what Microsoft has done (customized). Because no matter what forum you go to the minute someone who "knows" something posts it the next post is correcting them and the next post corrects them.

Microsoft did a TON of customization so for anyone on here to try and claim this is right or wrong doesn't have the full picture yet.

Oddly enough your second and third paragraphs actually support ethomaz's claim. Bet you weren't going for that ;)

Ok, Let me make this clear:

Neither Rain or Cloud, neither clock speed or horse speed will ever make the xbox any more powerful than the PS4. Both companies made brilliant consoles, but we are fighting about the least important facts.

It's the games People, the games..........

As far as I know, Sony hasn't revealed the PS4's CPU clock speed yet.

not sure what this has to do with my post.

I would have thought the cpu speeds would be a lot higher than thus on both consoles... I mean i bought a cheap processor for like 60 bucks that ruins over 3.0ghz

I was just pointing the fact out. But I meant to quote Superchunk's post. Not yours. My bad.
