There is a sequel, it come out in colour on the HD twins but it was rebranded as some other name. From memeory it started with A or O lol.

Doing the right things? How? By being blasted by next gen consoles ina few months? horrid developer support and bad sales?

Deflection.
Im sure if platinum had a 'retro' type relationship with nintendo, big things would ensue.
I'd say nintendo judge pg more for the quality of their games and their reputation rather than their sales record...and presumably their potential to work with some nintendo ips (don't forget platinum also made the viewtiful joe games and the original okami, when they were clover, both of which were pretty nintedoish, so its stupid to say they only make mature/non nintendo style games)

How is stating fact deflection it's the truth, you now are the one deflecting.
| badgenome said: According to CBOAT, this has already happened! I don't think it's an entirely meaningless term. For example Game Freak is technically independent, even though they never work with anybody but Nintendo anymore. I'd be surprised if Nintendo is interested in that kind of a relationship with Platinum. They were getting ready to kill off Fire Emblem if Awakening didn't push 250k units. How are they going to feel about an expensive HD game that isn't even going to sniff 250k? Platinum tends to make a lot of these... |
I know what you mean, though I think Nintendo owns a large chunk of Game Freak. Besides, pissing off Nintendo would lose them their Pokemon-shaped meal ticket.
The only reason Nintendo would woo Platinum would be if they were dead serious about winning back core gamers in the non-platforming demographics and were willing to take losses on that front. They're probably doing that with Bayonetta 2, which probably won't sell that well, though it remains to be seen if that's a token attempt or not.

thats just a normal reaction of the internet. imagine if a PR said meh abou some compititors, the reaction would be the same, its not a big deal
